Concept of help
Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase after fantasies have no sense.
Help means to aid, give assistance, support, service, complement, backing etc. Help is refreshing particularly when it arrives in a timely fashion. As long as we live on earth, we may require help in one form or another. Unfortunately, help has been abused for what it means and how it can be used. Today, a quick excuse that many unaccomplished men and women give is that they had no one to help them. This makes it clear that help is undoubtedly misunderstood and I hope this post brings some enlightenment.
Help is not a starter.
Truly, at some point, you may need help with whatever you are doing but help will not begin your work for you. Help will only come to support what you are already doing. Notice that help cannot be in effect when there’s no work. What then will ‘the help’ be supporting. Sadly, you may find people in life waiting for help but they will not start anything on their own. This concept applies to both spiritual and physical needs of life. God’s help is made available to those who put their hands to work not to those who wait for help to kick them into some form of superfluous prosperity. A story is told of two farmers who desired that it rained so that they may plant their crops and have food to eat. One farmer cleared his land and ploughed it whilst the other waited for the heavens to tear up and pour rains down. When help (rains) finally came, the farmer who had prepared his land benefited from it. In this life, do not look up to others to do things for you. Instead, have an initiative so that when help comes, it merely pushes you to achieve desired results. Let’s look at the next concept.
Help is already with you
In the previous concept, we learnt that help comes to support what one is already doing. Now, let me spare you some moments to consider this question: where exactly does ‘help’ come from? I’m certain your answer will not differ from mine, in that our help comes from God. Beloved in the Christ, we have an advantage in this life because we have God. Yet, it doesn’t seem to be the case. What did we miss? I mean why should God be our help and we will still be in need? Is God not seeing our ordeals? Well, the answer to these heart-cries depends on you and me, not on God. This is because help has been given to us already. We just haven’t realized it, so we go about expecting a certain form of help whiles missing the help before our very eyes. Permit me to point out some evidence the gives credence to the fact that help is already with you.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
In 2 Peter 1:3, He says ALL things that pertain to life has been given to you. All things include anything you can name as a need. What we are looking for has been given us already but because we do not know and do not practise God’s word, we find ourselves at the mercies of those who have found it. God’s help for you is boldly printed in His words. For instance, you may find someone who desires to be wealthy but finds it difficult to give or share what he owns presently with others. Meanwhile, God’s word (help) says; “Give and it will be given to you”- Luke 6:38. Not many have come to this understanding and I pray that you begin to see help for what it actually is rather than a divine manifestation that will fall into your laps one day.
In Christ Jesus, we have access to ALL the help we need. But this help will not manifest while we sit and wait. Help comes to people who need it, and those who need it are those working with what they have. Let this mind be with you; help will not do the work for you. Do the work, and God will help you. I Hope these concepts have been of great help to you.
